My short answer: Ehhh, no.
I thought that the thoughts of the American Desi have been summarized, characterized, bastardized, criticized, ignoricized (lol) by most or all. I'm sure this goes for NRI's all over the place, but the american raised desi has a particular brand of alienation that is often ignored.
That said, I will be representing the american desis out there. Part of this is desi thoughts and upbringing & part of that is me and my identity's evolution as I was raised in America.
My biggest challenge? Not abandoning this blog. I have started and left many ideas because I was infatuated at first and my interest waned. I have left things cold because the idea itself wasn't a core part of me, it was just an interest at the time. I don't think it will happen here because this is really who I am - just someone with a foot in each country, the duality of two cultures and parts of the globe.
Come sit a while - it's about to GO DOWN.
